Rave :: Что ты чувствуешь, когда играешь на больших рейвах с известными диджеями?

Adam :: Во время моей игры – самое важное для меня, когда люди начинают узнавать мои треки. Если они узнают – становится значительно легче и это наилучшее чувство. Конечно немного тяжело играть с известными именами, потому как большая часть людей ждёт хедлайнера.

В любом случае я концентрируюсь на себе. Всё равно, если до меня играет кто-то известный – я стараюсь выложиться как могу. Я играю мой собственный музыкальный стиль, иногда мягко – иногда более жёстко.

Rave :: Многие любители транса считают, что настоящий мелодичный транс был в прошлом (например в 2000м году) и многие треки сейчас делаются ради коммерции. Эти новые треки от известных имён – без души или не такие классные как были раньше (например начали включать элементы электро). Что, по твоему мнению, происходит с транс сценой на сегодняшний день?

Adam :: Я всегда говорю, что музыка меняется и это нормальный процесс. Мы не можем это остановить. Продюсер должен выделяться оригинальностью. Если ты пытаешься зародить что-то оригинальное – ты ответственнен за изменения, ты часть их.

Музыкальный продюсер не может быть оригинальным если он не экспериментирует с музыкой. Я думаю, что лейблы должны быть более открыты к транс музыке.От них зависит, что мы будем слушать в последующее время.

Касательно известных имён на транс сцене. Я думаю, что они настолько заняты, что иногда просто забывают почему они сейчас находятся на своих местах. Но это цена за популярность. С другой стороны, кто говорит, что каждый трек должен быть 100 % хитовым.

Деньги – это большая часть нашей жизни, но далеко не главная. В любом случае есть столько отличнейших треков, что мы не можем быть недовольными.

Rave :: Если бы у тебя был выбор быть на верхушке нечестного чарта, который подделывает результаты за деньги или почему-то ещё – ты бы остался на этой верхушке или например занимал бы менее лидирующие позиции, но в честных хит-парадах.

Adam :: Давайте взглянем на мою дискографию. Разве вы видете там треки созданные потому что все хотят услышать стиль Sean Tyas или электро? Конечно же нет. Абсолютно. Я такой продюсер, что лучше буду находиться на низких позициях, но иметь свой собственный стиль.

Продюсирование музыки для меня – большое удовольствие. В каждом треке есть что-то новое. Это рисковано, но я стараюсь делать постоянно что-то отличимое от моих предыдущих работ.

Конечно, быть на топовых позициях важно, но должен быть всё же баланс между моими поклонниками и музыкальной индустрией. Нужно находить золотую середину.

Rave :: Какая главная идея твоих произведений. Что ты хочешь ими сказать? Каков твой посыл нашим людям, людям нашего мира?

Adam :: Главная цель – создавать что-то новое. Недавно я пытался создать что-то новое, что-то оригинальное. Если кому-то нравятся звуки Адама Ники – он знает, что новый трек будет содержать

что-то отличимое от предыдущего, но по прежнему очень интересное. Я получал тысячи мессаджей о том, что мои треки необычные. Я трачу много времени на трек. Я думаю о каждом малейшем звуке – я часть своих произведений. Просто закройте глаза и почувствуйте это.Я вкладываю своё сердце в треки и люди чувствуют это. Я знаю это потому как люди пишут мне и делятся своими эмоциями. Это потрясающе!!

Rave :: Если бы у тебя был шанс изменить всё в нашей жизни – что бы ты изменил в первую очередь?

Adam :: Не имею даже представления. Я принимаю свою жизнь. Жизнь слишком коротка. Каждый день я благодарю Бога за каждый новый день, который он мне даёт.

Rave :: Представь пожалуйста ситуацию, что какой-то нелюбимый тобой продюсер просит у тебя сделать ремикс на него. Твоя реакция. Сделаешь ли ты ремикс, потому как посчитаешь, что песня хорошая или всё таки нет, потому как предложил нелюбимый тобой продюсер.

Adam :: Ну и вопрос! Я на самом деле не знаю. Я никогда не сталкивался с такой ситуацией. Когда я получаю запросы на ремикс от лейблов для меня самое важное – это трек. Если мне понравится оригинальная версия я соглашусь на ремикс. Иногда мотивация может быть больше если я делаю ремикс для кого-то именитого…в любом случае я стараюсь вложить в ремикс частичку себя.

Rave :: What do you feel often when you play on such massive big festivals with big names?

Adam :: When I’m playing the most important thing for me is when people know my tracks. If they know it is much easier and this is the best feeling.I’m the part of them. It’s a bit difficult to play with really big names because mostly people are waiting for the main star. Anyway I’m focused on myself. It doesn’t mather if before me is playing someone big. I do my job as good as I can. I’m playing my own music style….sometimes gently sometimes strongly.

Rave :: Many trance-lovers used to thing that real melodic soul trance was in the past (for example in 2000 year) and many tracks now just made for earning money. This nowadays tracks from big names are soulless or maybe not so good as before (f.ex. some elements of electro) How do you think what is happening with trance scene nowadays.

Adam :: I always say that the music is changing and this is normal process. We can’t stop it. Everyone could tell you that the producer should be original. If you’re trying to achieve something original ….you are responsible for changes you are the part of it. Music producer can’t be original if he doesn’t experiment with the music. That’s how the music evolved. Of course everything should have the border.

I think that the labels should be more open for the Trance music. It depends on them what you will be listening next year.

Regarding big names on trance scene. I think that they are so busy that sometimes they forget why they are on this place where they are. But that’s the price of being so popular. On the other hand who says that every track has to be 100 % HIT. The money are the big part of our life but not the most important. Anyway in my opinion we have so many great tracks that we can’t complain.

Rave :: If you had the choice to be on TOP in chart that is not fair, that changes the resluts for money or for something else. Would you stay there or maybe appear on lower position in some other charts but it will be really true.

Adam :: Look on my discography. Do you see there any tracks created because everyone wants to listening the Sean Tyas style… or….electro style ?? Definitely no. Absolutely

I’m the type of producer who’s on lower position…but still with my own style. Music production is big fun for me. Making music has to be pleasure for me. Every track has something new. It is risky but I always try to make something a bit different than my last single. Of course The TOP in charts is important but rather it has to be balance between my fans and music industry. You have to find the golden middle.

Rave :: .What is the aim of your creations, productions. What do you want to say by them? What is your message to our people, to people of our world.

Adam :: The main aim is making something new. Recently I ‘ve tried to do something new….something original. If someone like the Adam Nickey’s sounds … he knows that the new track will be different than the last one but also very interesting. I’ve received a hundred messages that my tracks are unusual and absorbed. I spend on the track a lot of time. I’m focused on one track and I’m thinking about every small sound and detail of it. Every track has a small part of me. Just close your eyes and you feel it. I put a lot of heart to my music and people also feel that. I know it because they’re writing to me and they’re sharing with their emotions. That’s amazing !!

Rave :: If you had the chance to change everything in our life – what would you change firstly and why?

Adam :: I have no idea. I accept my life. Life is too short to thinking about different options. Every day I thank God for every new day he gives me.

Rave :: .Imagine please the situation that some unliked by you producer asks for remix. Your reaction:) Will you make the remix due to good song or will you won’t – because of unliked producer:))

Adam :: What’s a question. I really don’t know. I have never had this kind of situation. When I receive remix request from labels for me the most important is the track. If I like the original mix I agree to remix it. Sometimes the motivation could be bigger if I make remix for someone really important…..anyway I always trying to put on the remix a part of me.

Adam :: Of course. Merry Christmas to all my fans in Ukraine. Thank you for your support !! If you feel good because of my music … that’s the most important for me. Keep an eyes open for my new tracks.

Аксель – экс-участник Scooter, с которыми он спродюсировал 4 года массу успешных синглов. Сейчас он пишется на известном немецком лейбле Aqualoop Records, создаёт просто афигительные собственные синглы и ремиксы в стилях hard dance hardstyle и со своими собственными изюминками, которые замечают!

Самые известные его сольные работы – “Close to you”, “Lamenting City”, а также набирающий обороты “Promise Me” кавер версию потрясающей балады начала 90-х Beverly Craven. Rave: Как у тебя возникла идея сделать кавер на всемирно-известный хит Beverly Craven “Promise Me” (новый сингл Акселя – прим.) Насколько нам известно ты готовил его задолго до появления сейчас, если быть точным, сразу после “Close to you” он должен был выйти cледующим синглом.

Axel: Верно. Предполагалось, что “Promise Me” выйдет после “Close to you”. К сожалению, на то время “правильная подача” этого трека ещё не возникла в моей голове и точного представления о том, как он должен звучать – не было. Я забросил его и занялся “Lamenting City”. На тот момент мне нравились именно те звуки тем более “Lamenting City было легче довести до логического завершения.

Rave: Поделись пожалуйста своими мыслями по поводу продвижения таких стилей как dance/techno/hardstyle/jump, что будет с ними и что можно ожидать в будущем с танцевальной музыкой на твой взгляд.

Axel: Я думаю, мы уже пересекли границу продюсинга и поздно что-то обсуждать о нашей музыке. Однако, при всевозможных давлениях – все стили электронной музыки до сих пор живы.

Это при том, что все ТV каналы Европы закрыли свои денс-шоу, самая большая музыкальная премия Германии “Echo” отменила категорию “Dance music”. Все попытки убить танцевальную сцену привели к тому, что…. сцена выжила.

Так и у нас в Германии. Сейчас всё приближается к возрождению и новому интересу к музыке! Те времена, когда техно диджей должен закончить свой сэт перед выступлением хип-хоп диджея в прайм-тайм -
давно в прошлом. В столичных дискотеках хип-хоп звучит только на вторых танцполах. Будущее за электронной музыкой! Мы можем слышать денс-звучки и в раскрученной поп музыке. Пример тому – Timbaland.

Rave: Тебе нравится стиль progressive trance и хочешь ли ты что-то создать в этом стиле?

Axel: Честно признаюсь, это не моё. Я не тот человек, который проверяет новые поступления пластинок каждую неделю. Я сфокусирован на собственном звучании и никогда не ориентируюсь на чужие вещи во время продюсинга.

(Очень удивительно, так как некоторое время назад Аксель выкладывал на время на myspace несколько своих неизданных работ и они напоминали uplifting progressive trance – прим.)

Rave: Как твоя любовь к более тяжёленькому (hardcore/hardstyle), чувствуешь ли ты, когда во время сэта люди хотят жестяк. Что, по твоему мнению должно быть в треке, больше харда или мелодичности?

Axel: На самом деле я уже перестал играть hardstyle и в моей сумочке нету пластинок с этим стилем музыки. В каком-то смысле мне уже неинтересно и скучно. Я очень долго играл этот стиль ещё до того как он превратился
в мейнстримовый и сейчас hardstyle для меня уже ничего не значит.

Rave: Как твоя дружба с Феррисом? Вы до сих пор друзья? Может поделишься последними новостями от него…

Axel:  О да! Мы очень часто созваниваемся. Он занимается продюсированием музыки для ТV шоу со своим  партнёром Каем. Они очень заняты и завалены реквестами.

Rave: Часто диджеи и саундпродюсеры хотят что-то сказать своей музыкой или игрой, поделиться своими чувстами, быть может переживаниями, эмоциями… Каков твой посыл фанам, друзьям, просто людям в мире?

Axel: Наслаждаться жизнью и музыкой. Я не Бог и не поэт. Каждый раз, когда сижу в студии – даю волю своим чувствам, не важно как люди относятся к моей музыки – она просто должна “качать”!

Rave: Тебе важны чарты, рейтинги или ты считаешь – что искренняя любовь поклонников может быть для тебя настоящим подарком и она важнее чем чарты.

Axel: Меня не волнуют высокме позиции и чарты. Музыка – она ведь прежде всего эмоциональна! Если мне понравился трек – не важно где и на каких он местах в чартах. Как можно критиковать и давать оценку музыку – если всё дело в чувствах. Более важно для меня – это видеть сумасшедших позитивных людей на выступлениях, которым нравятся мои синглы.

Rave: Расскажи нам пожалуйста, какие вещи для тебя важны в жизни…

Axel:  Самое важное для меня – это чтобы всё в семье было хорошо в плане здоровья и всего. Я встречаюсь с моей подругой Николь уже 6 лет и у нас замечательная собака Майа, вот уже как 3 года. Ими я живу и дышу каждый день. Это глубже чем могут сказать слова. Что может быть лучше чем это? Окей, писать музыку )))))

Axel Coon is mega-bomb producer from Germany, the Aqualoop Records’s artist released many successful singles like “Close to you”, “Lamenting City”, and remixes famous all over the world. We appreciate his attention very much and respect his works. Because it’s real rave! The latest Axel’s single is cover version of charming Beverly Craven ballade from early 90s – “Promise Me”.

Also he is interested in jumpstyle and you can hear that by his remixes for example for

Now he’s on line with us and ready to tell something special for fans in Russia and Ukraine. During the interview you will know about the efforts to kill the dance scene in the world, about his attitude to hard stuff nowadays, about how is important to feel music, about the most important things in his life and many more of course…

Rave: How did you get the idea to re-work Beverly Craven’s hit “Promise Me”, as far as we know you wanted to release that single long time before actualy right after “Close to you”.

Axel: Right, basicly this song should have been released after my single “close to you”. Unfortunately I was not in the position to produce this song in the right direction as per my imagination. I broke up and produced my follow up single “lamenting city”. At this time I prefered this sounds and it was just easy to brang this track to its end!

Rave: Can you share you thoughts about the future of dance/techno/hardstyle/jump music whatever, what is gonna happen or what differences can be added to nowadays music in the future. Just you viewpoint.

Axel: I think, we already crossed the zenith. Its to late to challenge what will happen with our music. In face of all constrictions, all kinds of electronic dance music are still alive. All tv channels canceled there dance shows from there program, to be honest, the shows have been eleminated. The biggest German music award “Echo” canceled the category “Dance” as well. In respect of all there efforts to kill the dance scene, the scene survived. Same here in Germany. The scene is on the upswing to boom. There are no breaks any longer, where the Techno-DJ has to quit his set at the prime time for a Hip-Hop DJ. This times are yesteryears!

In the metropolitan discos, Hip-Hop will only be played on the second dance-floors. Dance is the future! You can hear dance elements, which was unbelievable in the past. Timbaland productions has been composed with synth-sounds; lo and behold?

Rave: Are you interested in progressive trance. music and do you plan to proceed in this styles of music?

Axel:  To be honest, that isn`t really my bizz. I am not the type of guy who is checking the whole new stuff every week. In the moment I have my focus on my own sounds and I never check other tracks during my producing, or better; I won?t!
 
Rave: Are you still in love with hard music styles (hardcore/hardstyle for example) and can you feel when people want to hear while your set hard music exactly? What do you think should be more in track – beautiful melody or rough hard beats?

Axel: Actually I totally quit playing all the hardstyle stuff and i have no records like this in my case already. In some way it becomes a bit boring to me. I played hardstyle a very long time, befor it comes to a trend like nowadays. Hardstyle means nothing to me any longer!

Rave: How is it going with your friendship with Ferris – are you still friends? Maybe some news from him and from you together?

Axel:  Oh yes! We are calling very often. He is doing very well. He is producing with his partner Kai music for TV shows. They are very busy and they have a lot of requests.

Rave: Often dj’s and music producers want to tell some message or share their feelings by creating and producing tracks. What is your message to the people of the world, to your fans and friends?

Axel: Have fun and enjoy the music. I am not a god or poet. Always when I am sitting in my studio, I just let my feelings roll. I does not really matter,
what people think about my music, it just has to be “rock”!

Rave: Do you actually care about positions in charts, or you think that true love of fans can be – real present to you and more inportant than high positions.

Axel: I don`t care about the charts, its like a record review. Music is absolutely emotional. If I like a song, it does not matter at which ranking this song is listed in the charts. How will a named music critic explain, what this music really is? Its impossible to explain. You just have to feel it! The charts are not very important to me. More important is to see the crowd going crazy while listening to my singles.

Rave: Pls tell us what important things in your life are…

Axel: More than the most important thing in my life is, that my family is doing well and healthy. I am in a relationship with my girlfriend “Nicole” about  6 years and we  have a very sweet dog “Maya” since 3 years. They make my day every day. Its more than words can say. What could be nicer than this? Ok, to make music !
